SSAT Preparation Workshops and Private Preparation
The Secondary Schools Admissions Test is administered to students in grades 5-11 as part of the application process to many of Atlanta's private and parochial schools.
- Why should my child take the SSAT Prep Workshop?
The class gives students the practice tools necessary to enter into the test feeling well-prepared and confident.
Students will receive instruction and practice in all skill areas tested including math, verbal, reading comprehension, and the writing sample.
- Who are the instructors?
Rosanne Bowen and Lori Crunk, both of whom are certified middle school teachers and have 25 years experience in SSAT preparation.
- What is the required textbook?
The Official Guide to the SSAT which is published by the SSAT Board. The Middle Level guide is for students in 5th, 6th and 7th grades. The Upper Level guide is for students in grades 8, 9, and above. It must be ordered from www.ssat.org.
- How much does the workshop cost?
Workshop fees vary depending on the location. Please see SSAT Schedule for specific fees. A notebook and supplies are included in the fee.
- How do I register?
Go to "SSAT Schedule" (see above) and follow the link listed for the workshop location that you are interested in. You can register and pay with a credit card online.
- Is private instruction available for my child?
Yes, both instructors have limited availability to work with students privately. Please contact them by completing the online registration form. You will receive an email or telephone call shortly. Hourly fee for private preparation is preparation is $65.
